I don't think I missed the point at all... and I certainly wasn't attempting to silence you. I'd just rather not elevate anyone with such a dour outlook to the status of "moderator."

Dour? Hardly.

A person gives their word that a given event will occur.
The event does not come to pass.
I feel it is realistic to doubt their veracity.

A realistic viewpoint.

I judge a person by his/her words and actions.

And as to being a moderator, an outsider has a clearer, uncompromised view and better judgement.

Recluse - this thread has sort of moved past the "contest" phase - we're just having fun making up a story with MR members as characters. The contest just provided the plot initially - now it's just pure imaginative lunacy - poking gentle fun at all of us!
