Personal Content Server - Page 2

Your server is great, but on my Windows 7 64 machine there is a problem with the IP address generated by the server.

When I run the server it reports an IP address like this:

http://fe80::2555:a569:d-62:1d39%11:9033

This IP is apparently based on the PHY address of my ethernet card rather than the IP address of the host computer. And this is the server address used in the generation of the html pages that the server generates.

In fact the server is listening at my IP address of http://192.168.247.10:9033, and I can connect to it from my iPod touch at that address and see the pages with the books in pdb format listed.

However, when I try to download a book, ereader can't find the server since the IP address in the link on the generated page is incorrect.

The configuration file doesn't apparently allow setting the IP address to be used. Any suggestions?

Hi Terry,

I'll update the server so that you can set the IP address in the config file. Give me a couple of days to find some time to do that.

Did you ever update your server to allow configuration of the IP Address. I would like to use it.

I think I did fix this issue (I had the same problem when I moved to Windows 7) but I can't remember how the exact fix worked. I don't think you need to hard-code your IP address in the config file, but if the attached doesn't work let me know.
