No it's not funny. Nature adapts. Nor is nature compassionate. Man is currently doing massive wrong to nature. It's not funny at all.
Coyotes are very smart, I've seen many out in the day and they have little fear of people, hell they are even a "protected species" around here and no one is allowed to shoot them or get rid of them so they prowl the neighborhoods and pick the easy pickin's for lunch, the cat, kitten, small dog. Way easier to live that way than in the wild catching wild animals. No it is probably not rabid. |

Sorry, kenny.
I'm pissed off at something else. Didn't mean to snap at you. And you are right. But..... The damn things are living in a ritzy golf course. They take out some jackass in plaid pants, justice is done. I just get a bad feeling about them being here. We had feral dog packs in the cemetaries a few years back. This could get really ugly. Worse if PETA sticks it's nose in. |

I'm a believer that they should be run out of town, but as I said around here the average person can't do anything (such as shoot the bastards) and the authorities WON'T do anything. The thing that really freaks me out is that the first reports of coyotes were coming out of Central Park. How the Hell do they cross Manhattan without being noticed? Why even try?
God help the homeless. |

I also have the Palm version of the MobiPocket viewer on my PDA. Mobi substitutes Reading Lists for categories, and supports up to 32 on Palm devices. Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to control the order in which they are listed - it's by date created, which is a bit of a PITA. I'm beginning to think about a database supporting BLOBs as the master repository, where author, title, category, and other elements would be fields in a record, and the actual eBooks would be the mentioned BLOBs (Binary Large OBjects). Among other things, that would make it easier to handle pseudonyms and properly associate them with the real author. ______ Dennis Last edited by DMcCunney; 06-28-2010 at 02:25 PM. |

Norton pooped on the rug today. Don't blame him. If I had to depend on an outhouse in this weather (heat index of 112⁰F/44⁰C), I'd poop on the rug myself.

My maltese is litter box trained.
And rather proud of his trick shooting! Tom, I got one word for you: Depends. And to Hell with "protected species" crap. They can only fine you if they find a corpse. |

How confident do they look when you set one on fire?
Hypothetically, of course. Gas is expensive. |

We have foxes at work that come around begging food. Some are braver than others, but even the most brave will only allow you to approach just so far before taking off.

yeah... foxes are a different story entirely. I worked on a ranch that had a lot of wild animals that they probably shouldn't have. they had a fox pair that were so incredibly timid it was painful. a;; the others at least tried to interact |

The litter box business wasn't my idea. That was the breeder.
My maltese walks everywhere with me. Which usually means a bath every two weeks. And he does go outside. The expression he had the first time he peed on grass was priceless! |

I caught a fox nose-to-nose with one of my cats in the middle of the street early one morning....fortunately I saw it and scared it off.
