i am marking my calendar. to be honest i've been avoiding news / discussion of the oil spill because it breaks my heart and makes me sick to my stomach and gives me nightmares (seriously) but i may just make an exception for your story.

Now spees are a terrifying idea indeed, and though I hope to never live to see them in person, an artist's interpretation would be very welcome. I like to give myself a scare once in a while

yes, don't forget the links !! i agree, those covers are beautiful. i think my favourite is rainbirds but that is probably just my personal prejudices coming into play in light of my well-known feelings about tom waits. i really really REALLY can't wait to read those stories.

which is why i NEVER should have clicked that spoiler !!! i actually said "gaah !!!!" out loud and jumped in my chair when i saw that for the tiniest nanosecond before reflexively clicking the spoiler button again to hide it. and yet it STILL will haunt me for years to come, i am sure of it. :shudder:

I still think your picture was scarier, though.

i'm personally not sure but let's just say whichever one is the scariest, the other one is a really close second. in fact let's just call it a tie.

In fact I was going to not use spoiler tags at all, but then I thought that I wouldn't want anyone to look at this picture unprepared. You have to have your defenses in place before clicking spoilers, you never know what lurks inside them.

don't be silly, it's entirely my own fault. i never should have clicked that spoiler tag, i can't think what possessed me to do it. i must have fallen on my head recently. and thank you a bazillion times over for using the spoiler tags, god knows without them i WOULD definitely have been scarred for life !! and you're quite right, you have to have your defenses in place before clicking. or, in some cases, realise that your curiosity is not in your best interests, and resist.
