I still think your picture was scarier, though.

Great news, a good story to lift the spirits after the game. The timing is perfect
Dear Gods that's pure evil and I will be forever terrified!!! Although men in striped trunks with perms and oiled up shaved chests do come a close second.

only just saw this thread ! so excited now !

It's about not wanting to be known after you die or leave any sadness behind or even know the sadness of someone dying. Liseuse is about nostalgia for the past and how you have to let that go. Rainbirds is a mix of oddness, sentiment and weird stuff...(still completing that one).

Rorschach should be out some time today with Yves tomorrow and Liseuse on Tuesday
i am marking my calendar. to be honest i've been avoiding news / discussion of the oil spill because it breaks my heart and makes me sick to my stomach and gives me nightmares (seriously) but i may just make an exception for your story.

Please post a link whenever you do publish them, I can't wait to read! The covers are beautiful in their simplicity. Especially the "I Remember Yves Montes" excerpt you posted somewhere else sounded very intriguing, and I'm extra curious about the Rainbirds (I've got to dig out my Tom Waits mp3s to go with it!).

Now spees are a terrifying idea indeed, and though I hope to never live to see them in person, an artist's interpretation would be very welcome. I like to give myself a scare once in a while
yes, don't forget the links !! i agree, those covers are beautiful. i think my favourite is rainbirds but that is probably just my personal prejudices coming into play in light of my well-known feelings about tom waits. i really really REALLY can't wait to read those stories.

which is why i NEVER should have clicked that spoiler !!! i actually said "gaah !!!!" out loud and jumped in my chair when i saw that for the tiniest nanosecond before reflexively clicking the spoiler button again to hide it. and yet it STILL will haunt me for years to come, i am sure of it. :shudder:

i'm personally not sure but let's just say whichever one is the scariest, the other one is a really close second. in fact let's just call it a tie.

I'm so sorry Zelda
I hope I have not scarred you for life
In fact I was going to not use spoiler tags at all, but then I thought that I wouldn't want anyone to look at this picture unprepared. You have to have your defenses in place before clicking spoilers, you never know what lurks inside them.

don't be silly, it's entirely my own fault. i never should have clicked that spoiler tag, i can't think what possessed me to do it. i must have fallen on my head recently. and thank you a bazillion times over for using the spoiler tags, god knows without them i WOULD definitely have been scarred for life !! and you're quite right, you have to have your defenses in place before clicking. or, in some cases, realise that your curiosity is not in your best interests, and resist.

Here's the whole picture of Charlotte, who inspired the Yves Montes story - here's what the photographer said of her (I assume they were both quite young when they met, as she looks to be in her teens)

Charlotte
The girl I met at KlezKanada. Beautiful, talented (she plays violin really well), caring, everything you would ever want. I miss her a lot. I love her. Soooo much.

I mean, how could you not be inspired by something like that? I'll contact him when I release the story and let him know.

What I'll do is post a link through SXU and hopefully that'll be enough to get contact. I've just realised there's nothing in the description on SXU that would identify the poster as a 'he'. I'll have to be careful how I reply.

Sometimes I have the intelligence of a rock If you click on the user name it takes you to their page and a contact button. I'll do that tomorrow when I upload Yves Montes.

teehee. i have the tendency to click on stuff like a monkey on crack just to see where it goes, so my first instinct would have been to try that. given there was a user name, i guessed there probably was a profile page.
