I really don't know. I always assumed it was because it's a bit like those larger bits of cinder left after a fire?

Here it means beg, or a begger, most commenly used in such phrases as "He's a total sponge. He's always sponging beer and cigarettes, but never has any for anyone else."

Installed a netgear powerline kit, which provides ethernet capability through the power line. I was a little bit sceptic at first but it works like a charm, no configuration whatsoever. No more long tp-cables lying around. The only downside is that it will occupy 1 of your power sockets.

It makes sense in (UK) English - I'm imagining you wandering around people who have candy and trying to cadge some from them without having to pay or otherwise do anything for it.

Iwas thinking of installing one of those. Does your main modem have to be of the same company?

I have a computer in the shop next to the house and it's reception on the wireless net is iffy. That would fix it. Electrical current data would work and I'm sure since I used to have an intercom there that worked that way.

The main modem does not have to be the same brand. I've got a Tomson modem, and it works fine. The only thing is that the range is limited, says on the box that it works up to 500 square meters, more than enough for most folks.

More secure than a wireless network. And works great with devices that's only got ethernet port, like my skype phone.

Sunday Morning Coming Down
