I installed successfully on Win7 32. However, as is my habit, I uninstalled the previous version first (and deleted the directory from Program Files), which may be why I had no trouble. Also, I run as admin with UAC turned off.

yes I did and it is still not working. I even turned off my anti-virus just in case that was the issue.

Since it is hanging at the spot where it asks you to confirm the location, did you try selecting a location other than the default, and one that you have setup beforehand and changed the permissions to give you full access?

I recently purchased a wifi-only Nook. Now I have my entire library on the Nook's SD card, with a calibre2opds-generated catalog and trook to read said catalog and launch the appropriate reader for whatever book I choose.

It's eBook-organization nirvana! As an interface for selecting a single book out of a large library, it makes the built-in interfaces of the standard devices seem completely pathetic. Kudos to the calibre2opds team, the Nookdevs folks and the developers of trook!

Thanks Xenophon, it's always nice to hear praises

I'd never have been able to develop the 2.2 version (which introduces Nook/Trook compatibility) without the help of Kb Sriram, and his generosity : he sent me a free Nook from the USA to help me test and develop on it !

And I'm a very happy camper too, althoug there are a lot of things to enhance and correct, and I'm afraid he's very busy right now with his real life...

My entire family now access my dropbox-hosted calibre2opds-generated catalog and they love browsing by book cover. Thanks for this great program!

I wonder if it is possible to pass off ePub & PDF books to iBooks from these catalogs? I have seen links to apps using something like carcassonne:// as the start of the address.

Do you think that ibooks:// followed by book name would work? If so it would remove the major advantage of Stanza (access to web catalog). On the iPad Stanza has too many unpleasant ePub rendering bugs to be usable for reading (for me). At the moment iBooks is the least flawed!

SirBC: you're welcome, I'm happy to see that calibre2opds is useful !
ChristopherTD: I tried this as soon as iBooks was released (2 months ago) and it did not work. The only protocol handlers that are registered in iBooks (through the use of the plist file) are used to open it with a specific page (book) of the Book Store. Too bad

Hi dperrion,

Do you offer nightly/weekly builds? I only ask because you have mentioned that the latest build will fix the bug with Ibis reader and Aldiko.

@dpierron

Shame really - but you can now pass PDF to iBooks 1.1 (I think). Perhaps it will also work for ePub now?

Craysh,
If you want, you can check out the project at Launchpad, it's open-source. But you must have a knowledge of Bazaar, Maven, and Java if you want to be able to build from source.
We're coming near to the release point of 2.2.1, and if you are patient and can wait a bit more, it'll be easier than building from source.
All best,
David.

I'm having the exact same problem on Windows 7 x64. I posted a question about it on the launchpad.net page for calibre2opds.

If you've found a fix for it since your last post, please share it with me.

Edit: The developers helped me with a workaround for my problem. I installed the package in Windows 7's XP Mode virtual machine, then copied the installed files from the virtual machine's drive back to my hard drive.

I'm running into an issue where books without a cover image are failing to download in Stanza (404 error). I'm running Stanza 0.78, calibre2opds 2.02, and Stanza 3.0.3 on iOS 4.0. I don't recall this happening in the past, but I may not have noticed as I have covers for most things in my library...

Hi peterloron,

This is a known bug which should be fixed in the upcoming 2.3 release. Can you contact me in private so I can send you the release candidate, so you can confirm the bug is fixed ?

All best,
David.
