Got home from work - it was 103 F on the deck (I'm in the kitchen looking out at the thermometer on the deck).

Waiting for storms - they're at the Virginia border heading down!

Will need a jacket tomorrow - a high of only 94 F!

It's 99⁰ F (37 ⁰C) currently in Chesapeake. I don't know what the high for today was, but at 3 p.m. the temperature was 100⁰ F (38 ⁰C).

The Heat Index with the humidity factored at 3 p.m.: 112⁰ F (44 ⁰C).


Poohbear_nc, maybe we should go ahead and have heat strokes now and avoid the July/August rush.

The humidity is slightly lower on Thursday and Friday this week.

so the heat index is slightly lower today. Last week the heat index was 105-115F. That is more August than June weather.
