I've been looking, but haven't found anything that will let me pause/play or tell if a song's even going. I might have to start trolling that russian forum that shade's on.

History

How do I get the Circle page button to do history forward and back? It used to do it. But I cannot seem to figure out the correct settings in the hack builder.

if you don't have the Joystick Page Flip installed, you can use doLeft and doRight for history functions.

if you want both together, then don't install the Joystick Page Flip hack, and instead just remap the joystick left and right to doPrevious and doNext respectively. If you do it this way, you might find that you need to use whatever you mapped doLeft and doRight to in cases where you'd usually use the joystick.

I'll give this a go and see what happens. But can you add the circle page button as history back.forward to the list pf hacks please?

Since we have key re-mapping, I don't see any need to use the "Joystick Page Flip" and "Joystick History" hacks. Do they provide any other functions that can't be done through key re-mapping? or they are kept for legacy only?

Jon, you can just remap the circle buttons to doLeft and doRight with the dropdowns.

FYI, the other day I added a brief description of each of the commands to a new item in the Help menu so it'll be easier to figure out which command does which operation.

They're slightly different. Just remapping affects the joystick across the entire device, which prevents navigation elsewhere. Using the hacks only affects the behavior while reading a book, so the navigation will still work.

I have an idea for how to make them both work, but it's fairly ugly, so I'm trying to find a nicer solution.

Used with MS Pro Duo stick worked great, did most of the hacks and remapped several buttons with no problems. Only issue I had was the .exe would not run from a network drive it errored out and crashed.

Question: Is the Sony Reader avaiable in Russia/Asia/Europe or do the Sony Libre hacks just happen tot work on the Sony Reader? I noticed some of the hacks are sourced from russian forums/sites..

Crud, that error doesn't help me at all. I'll see about trying it on a network drive over here. If I find anything useful, I'll let you know.

Nogg or diabloNL, do you know if it's possible to make a hack to toggle the status diaply on the Sony on and off so we can get the screen space back for books if we want and to toggle it back on to work as normal if we want it? The toggling would be while reading a book and would be on when at the menu and would stay off in a book till we wanted it back on.

It might be possible to clear it, but I'd be surprised if the extra space could be reclaimed for books. Then again, I didn't expect the blanking behavior to work as it does either.

Diablo probably knows more, as he's messed around with the graphics stuff more than I have.
