Stuff this for a joke. There are still so many emails in my inbox I can't see them all. I don't feel like doing any more work! I have worked all day and have achieved stuff all. Nothing like putting it all off until tommorrow. Ah shit there goes the inbox again. Plus the fact that my phone has died and the new one hasn't come yet!
![]() ![]() Ok so there are not that many I counted 37. But I am sure that's more than yesterday, and I have cleared a heap of them. |

How about I take a dip in a bath of Cherry liqueur dark chocolate? I will bob for the cherries whilst I am in there.

No glasses: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2083172/IMG_1708.jpg Normal glasses: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2083172/IMG_1690.jpg Sunglasses: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2083172/IMG_1707.jpg Just glasses by themselves (This photo SFW): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2083172/IMG_1714.jpg The glasses are good, excellent, though I'm only just getting used to them. It feels odd, dizzying, things not being fuzzy, and having my eyes actually attempt to focus on stuff. Sharpness. As a (hobbyist) photographer, everything looks...real, fascinating, photogenic again. A photographer, Garry Winogrand, said, "I photograph to see what the world looks like in photographs". For me, I responded to that quote reflexively with "I photograph to see what the world looks like". Photos seems to capture things, real things, reality in general, that my mind doesn't. In rare experiences I'm prone to saying things like "That looks real", or "This feels real". Most of the time I feel that whole Shakespearian feeling of just being a "player" on a "stage" - controlled, directed, artificial...and like everything in front of my eyes is just the scrolling of a TV screen. I'm not in touch. Photography gives me that sense of touch, with reality, back. The photos let me hold a moment until I can fully grok it, and then keep returning to it, and saying again, "It feels real". All of this is a long way of saying that the glasses reduce some of that. Their sharpness makes things feel "real" more often; make them seem fascinating, no matter how quotidian. As Henry Miller said, "The moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself". For me, the quotidian, the everyday object, the simple "golden" composition of basic shapes crossing, in photos, can be indescribably beautiful (to me. As for my photos...not necessarily riveting stuff for others). The glasses start to make me feel that in little compositions framed just with my eyes while walking the dogs. Also, I can read signs better. Quote:
