If I want pictures, psycho that I am, I'ed use a camera.

You know what makes me laugh?
Those old detective movies and "The Rockford Files" on TV, with James Garner?
The scene where the detective gets knocked cold with a phone receiver?
I picture the bad guy trying to do it with a cell phone.
I fall right off my chair! ROFL!

haha! that would be funny!

the old phones we had in the Army were pretty stocky and hard to break, but I found a few that really angry soldiers had their way with. including one that a guard decided to light on fire to keep warm on one miserable cold night. problem was, it was a secure NATO missle facility site and I was on call and had to go out to the middle of nowhere at 0darkthirty to fix it

My uncle still has a couple of the old rotary dial phones. I think he's hoping they make a comeback. You should see his basement, it's a museum. Old bakelite radios, those old clear zippo lighters with the floating dice, all sorts of wild stuff. You would get a kick out of him. He was an electrician in the Army, served in Viet Nam. Worked the rest of his life for the NYC subway system.

those are the first phones I worked on. a lot of techs even older than me don't know how to work on them because they started out on electronic phones. I see them quite frequently in antique stores. I've often thought about having some cards made up so people who buy them can get someone to actually install them

My uncle always said that the old skills should be preserved. He has all the tools my grandfather made, loves to show them off. You should see them. Perfectly balanced. Precise measurements. And they'll outlast anything Craftsman makes.

that would be an awfully large trip charge!

Strider is getting much better, his nose is still a little out of joint. envision a "Nermal" sort of situation. Arwen appears to have an upset tummy. she has the squirts (and boy are they STANKY!). she's napping right now. this is the first day since I have had her that we won't go anywhere. I wonder if that may have stressed her system
