oh my! that's quite drastic!

I guess I thought he was still kitten enough that it would be a breeze. ha!

Just remember to spread the love and affection around evenly, despite the uncontrollable urge to fawn over kitty Arwen. Strider is probably a little jealous.

Strider will adjust - it's sibling rivalry - like bringing home a new baby. Like mentioned above, be sure he gets enough attention so he knows he's still special too!

He actually seemed quite content up there.

But, yes, it was a little on the drastic side. I chalked it up to the age difference between the two -- several years, instead of several months like in Strider and Arwen's case.

I'm sure everything will be fine in a week or two. Strider just needs a little time to get used to having her around, and to realize she's his companion -- not his replacement.

he finally came in earlier and hopped up on the bed and accepted some kittie treats. back to being snarly and grumpy, but I see it as a good sign!

KK, how adorable - Arwen is cute too

It is so hard to believe they start so small. More pics!!

We had the same thing as sprise, a number of years ago, our old cat spent a solid month on top of the fridge when we brought in a new kitten.

She get's raw chicken? Is that a treat thing or is that part of their normal diet? Can they do regular cat food?

it's part of their regular diet. Kibble always available and right now raw chicken morning and night. she will graduate to a leg shortly
