Or the photographer used a polarizer.

But yes the air was very clear and cool and breezy. It is amazing how close you feel to the sky up there at 12,000 feet.

beautiful, but
Cloudless blue skies, nice temperatures. However, there is the the second wildfire that quickly blew up to 5000 acres. First fire is under control and I am no longer under the stand by evacuation order. Apartment smoky this morning.

Both fires carelessly started by humans. So much devastation!

Got a couple here in CO as well....major one in the Great Sand Dunes National park that they are just letting "run" it's course as it's not threatening structures etc.

Ah yes, the solstice, and the Fête de la musique. Happily for me, I made sure in advance that I have a full stock of earplugs

According to the forecast this morning, the weather should be more summer-like as the week progresses. I'm waiting for confirmation from the sky, but so far it's still as bleak as before.

Are you kidding? First I went to a visual art performance on Friday, then the apéro on Saturday. That exhausted my quota of excitement to three months at least. Are you trying to kill me?

However, in an exceptional concession to the solstice celebration, I think I will try to locate and, possibly, buy Keith Jarrett's latest album "Jasmine". And I will certainly buy the album of the Köln concert, which I have always loved but some some reason never bought.

well we certainly wouldn't want to kill you because we're counting on your for the next apéro, but maybe you could take out an "excitement advance" and count this towards the following 3 months.
