Hi,
I wanted to install the new firmware, but my Kindle DX is a gift that friend of mine bought and registered with her mail and pasword. I can not access the "Update device" on Settings because I don´t have the user, so I can not update I am afraid I`ll not be able to contact my friend and ask him for her user and password. Any idea to install the new firmware? |

Fixed. Just turned the wireless on, it downloaded and installed
|

I used the leaked 2.5.2 update on my K2i, and then turned on wireless and got 2.5.3. What I noticed was the leaked firmware was only 13mb's, while the real firmware from Amazon was 24.3mb's. This seems for me to be my real 2.5.2 patch. I don't notice anything different with the 2.5.3.

I also used 2.5.2 leaked update on my k2i (2.3.3->2.3.4(leak)->2.5.2(leak)), and haven't received 2.5.3 although my wireless has been On for weeks. (I was expecting 2.5 update
 ) I don't think it's a regional delay, since my colleagues got 2.5.3 yesterday via wireless.Thinking about it, I've never received 2.3.4 either. Maybe I am recorded as no-minor-update-guy at Amazon? The size difference between leaked one and official one concerns me as well. |
