Mediocre game.

The swedish coach devised a tactic to nullify Portugal and try counter-attacks. CIV's players are physically more powerful and just drawn Portugal's midfield, leading to many missing passes.

Portugal didn't show a shadow of its potential. Oh well... Two more games to go.

The demolition of the foolish and cocky Brazilians is about to begin. The Democratic People's Republic of Korea will bring forth yet another glorious victory to honor it's eternal leader Kim Il-Sung and his son Kim Jong-Il.

Italy has already tasted the prowess of the Korean collective (in 1966). Now the Brazilians will be humbled.

Quite disappointing game by Portugal. We need a Deco in top shape to really claim to have a good playmaker. Without him, Cristiano Ronaldo looks helpless and our forward line pretty much without good quality balls.

Ivory Coast did neutralize some of our best players, but we should have been able to come up with some kind of plan B. We tried a little bit close to the end with direct balls to the Ivorian area, but there was no Hugo Almeida to head them. Liedson was pretty much nonexistent.

Our coach also is soooo not ambitious. Why did he let Ruben Amorim in?? We should have put a forward more or at least replace Liedson since we was doing nothing there. He was happy with the tie?

Quite a disappointing game all round I thought. Just one decent shot from Ronaldo that hit the post and that was about the only good thing from either side during the whole game.

It does seem to be a pattern that most teams' (with the honorable exception of the German team) first games is a bit disappointing. Slow start to the tournament altogether really.

They will, I'm sure. They are far better than they showed today.

At least one of Portugal's fans is happy here.

Korea is doing quite well, Brazil's the better team IMO, but so far Korea are able to keep up with them.

Me too! And I'm really wondering what's wrong with Brazil. There's no speed at all. It seems to be a cold night in South Africa, are the Brazilians frozen?

That was a defensive lesson from Korea. They've managed to keep Brasil mostly out of the box...

These beautiful athletes are kinetic artists... Enjoy their performance! If not with your heart, do it with your eyes!
I played, like every kid in the streets and at the oratory, and in married against singles matches at work, usually last center in defense (libero) because I am mean, strong, move fast and not afraid of the tackle. My active game was first rugby and then volleyball, and then the bloody school, but I owe everything to it so I do not complain. And you will play again. be sure. Just take your time in building the muscles and strengthen ligaments and tendons. It will take some time, but you will. I feel it and if you want we can make a little bet on it!

I like to watch great players yes. I remember very well Platini, Dechamps, Mattheus, The great Creuff, The Dutch wht's his name that broke the ankle, VanBasten. Now I love to watch E'to. Messi knows. The little Brit he is a devil. The dutch Sneider he is a pleasure to watch, and the 2 German youngsters. What a marvel.

A part Deutschland, nothing much to be excited for.

You are in a spot. Ask Ravenne to let you vote for both your countries. Or toss a coin. Or better do not vote, because, as I explained above, this takes away chances from the votee.
The best thing, and people do it, is to bet against your team. So that if it looses at least you gain money, in this case satisfaction.
