Any chance you (or anyone else for that matter) could be so kind to tell me what's the diff between Update_kindle_dx_2.3.3.bin (16.6mb) and Update_kindle_dx_gw_2.3.3.bin (1.9mb)?

the first is for the US dx, the second for the global dx.

Ah, nevermind...the URL in post #80 is just truncated, the real one still works and I just successfully updated.

BTW: Rendering of a pdf for which pdffonts reports font Type 3 but no names, is visibly worse than before. They probably traded rendering quality for speed here :-/

BTW2: More interesting than Stalkbook stuff, I now have several additional sites available in the browser. BBC, Wikipedia, LonelyPlanet etc. In the DX GW version. Way cool.

Mine is DX International.

it was updated fine to 2.3.3 from official amazon site.. but won't accept the 2.5 bin in OP.

Yeah, this bin won't work for the GLobal Dx, this bin is for the US (Sprint) K2.

Does anyone have the bin file for 2.5 for the DX international? I currently have 2.3 on my kindle. I found the 2.5 bin on another site but the upgrade failed. Thanks.

Hi--Looks Like Sheikspeare was on my code version, and managed it...what am I doing incorrectly? I tried the 431100003_472900057.bin download and still my update option was greyed out.

Looks like the http://hotfile.com/dl/42765876/dde30...2.3.3.bin.html file was what worked for Sheikspeare, who was on the same model/code as I was...do you have that posted somewhere else now? That link is now defunct.
