It's the breakfast of champions. Some people like 'em with hot milk like Marc, but they go soggy too quick. They also stick in your teeth. We used to feed puppies with these soaked in warm milk with vegemite!

currently thinking to myself that despite appearances, sometimes paris is really too small. i just was in a tiny tiny neighborhood bar with some friends, when suddenly i hear a voice call my name : "is that you ???" i turned around, and it's a girl i haven't seen in about 15 years. we used to be quite good friends, or at the least we spent a lot of time together at the time. then we had a falling out. i really can't remember the details, but we didn't see each other at all after that. now i discover we've been neighbors for the past 10 years, she lives only 1 métro station away (what are the chances of that happening ??). she tells me she's so happy to run into me like this, she thinks about me often, and we absolutely must get together really soon and tell each other what we've done in the past 15 years. she insisted on taking my telephone number and she says she will call me. but the more i am thinking, the more it's coming back to me *why* i stopped seeing her, 15 years ago... and i don't really *want* her to call me.

There's an idea - give out a phone number that's 1 digit off from your real one. Then if confronted, say "Did I say 5? I meant to say 6."

*sigh* if only i was as quick-witted as you. i will try to remember that for next time.

i was taken so completely by surprise that i didn't even think of any good excuse. i gave her my card.

plus, some of the details only just came back to me later... i really couldn't remember right away why i hadn't seen her in 15 years. i had a strange, uncomfortable feeling, but i didn't know why. i should have trusted my instinct.

Looks pretty much like Weetabix in the UK - and it is lovely with warm milk and brown sugar

yep, we've got weetabix here too ! i used to eat it when i was a student. i don't think i ever tried it with warm milk though. maybe i will.

well, i *have* moved since then, although not that far, but so has she (she used to live in a completely different neighborhood, although still not that far). unfortunately we both moved to the same place. the irony is that there are a few people from my "past" that i would be really happy to see again. why don't i ever randomly run into *them* ???
