At work - where my vocalizations are necessarily somewhat subdued - when I get annoying cold calls from insurance brokers, etc. who won't take no for an answer, I've found dropping the phone receiver from about 6" into the cradle prevents any future call-backs.

I've used every tactic in the book. It is the same company every day.
They usually stop for a while when I tell them I won't talk to them until they can say my name correctly.
