For what it's worth, barring "imaginary friends" (as someone elsewhere calls people he only is friends with over the internet), I still have no real adult friendships (maybe one, who I see about twice a year for a weekend, but tend to let TL1 do all the talking).

TL1 didn't solve my introversion. I was just fortunate he was okay with it.

No need to apologise at all. I was concerned that my post may have implied:

introversion/loner ---> meet TL1 ----> form relationship ----> Hooray! Extrovert! I love people!

I remain as I started (some associated issues were alleviated, but I remain an introvert). I was concerned you may have thought TL1 was a solution to a problem. I don't think it's a problem that has to be fixed. As I think I read Charles Bukowski (?) said, "I don't hate people. I'm just happier when they're not around".
