Sometimes, just talking is all that's needed.

Also Journaling can be useful....just use it to vent/write your thoughts. No one has to even see it.

I'm tired of being told what's wrong with me.
H.P. Lovecraft was afraid of people.
They left him alone.
Let him write.
Didn't drag him into therapy and drug him.
Why me?
Maybe I'm right.
Too many people.
Violating my space.
Treating me like a doormat.
I'm afraid. Never make eye contact.
Apologize and back away.
Fear and hate. Hate and fear.
I treat them like they are more important than me.
Time for them to get out of my way.
Share the fear.

I like that term. It means that stuff still gets in at considerable speed as if you are still growing. I like it, it's positive...

Do you mean the Tata from India? If that is the one it's already two years old news. It is quite larger than three motocycles and the engine is about what you got in a Ford Fiesta, probably stronger. What's the use of a big engine if youRe limited by traffic and speed laws? So one can wast fuel from one stop light to an other?

The ideal commuter car, after feet. (I live a block away from the clinic and three blocks away from the hospital. I feel privileged, believe me.) An electric for in-town would be even better. My son, on the other hand, is nuts about having Hemi Power. Can't really understand it, myself. It does crap on the roads around here in winter.

One of the sad consequences of our modern world is the de-humanization of the human condition. In past times, having the brain reactions to others that you have would have led to an occupation away from others. Explorer, pioneer, rancher, etc, depending on the era. Now, even though there are multitudinous occupations, there are a shrinking number of ways for those who need to be distanced from other people to fit into. This is a major cause of the Pharmaceutical Industry making up new diseases every year.

Can't understand that either. My kid brother has an M3 BMW and the other one is buying a Hummer????? And they both recycle stuff and say they're green????So what they're getting to be 50. That's no reason...

Lighthouse keeper appealed to me - but they're all automated now.

I'm now thinking about establishing a silent order for monks for us atheists.

If you include brewing ale, I'm in with you!

I too investigated lighthouse keeping once as a vocation. Damn those computers!

That sounds nice.
I've worked directly with the public my whole life, on the theory that if I'm surrounded, I'll give in and become a social butterfly like my sister. I call her a social disease.
I can't believe there are no cemetary nightwatchman jobs.

In the alps, there are still dam wardens. Or mountain hut wardens. Nice landscapes to contemplate.

Computer programmer is sometimes a modern hide away for the loners amongst us. (me too) You bury your nose in your code all day .... and they often let you keep strange hours too. So if the programmer (or the computer manager) wants to work at night, they let ya. Ostensibly so you don't crash the computer while others need it ... but it's nice and silent at off hours!
