Again, wasn't trying to imply you were lying. If you have pre-existing liver damage it would be a concern, but 20 mg of Lexapro is within prescribing guidelines. What was the med they gave you that caused the insomnia and noises?

Maybe now it's everybody elses turn to be afraid.
I have to tell you that I don't know anything about meds and what they're used for. I don't know why you were brought to use them so insistently. Is your life possible without them?
Can you do sports? Some don't involve competition, some are more games. In the past before my injury, when I felt troubled, I've always found physical exertion beneficial. It gives focus on essentials, kind of kinetic meditation...

The only other med I ever took was Rozerem ( 8 mg.) for insomnia, which made me feel groggy the next day. I was put on that because they said the melatonin I use (which works great) isn't FDA approved.
It's a common practice for doctors to prescribe medications that aren't yet approved for certain ailments, but your doctor should have leveled with you. There's nothing unethical about it, but there should be informed consent.

The name of this practice escapes me at the moment. "Off-" something.

@pshrynk: What is that practice called?

Good man! So no drug company trips and gifts for you, eh?

More doctors should adopt your standards!

Going to gracelessly complain for a bit:
I've not slept more than 4hours in a night in the past month. I just got accepted into school, but won't be able to go if I can't get a bloody job, and while I've just gotten a job offer, I can't get there because of a severe lack of car and public transport in my area. I've not got the cash to get a car that I can call "Reliable Transportation" and I happen to live in the 3rd most bloody dangerous state in which to ride a motorcycle, which seems to be the cheapest solution for my issues but my family will probably disown me and whatnot because of the health risks and close family friends that have gotten severely injured on motorcycles.
In other news, a recent break up and issues with friends and whatnot are not decreasing any levels of stress.

ON the upside though, Earl Grey Cream tea is your friend. And the pandas in the knots on the fake wood in the wall are smiling at me.

I saw on the news last night some company is building a $2500 car. Basically an enclosed seat and puny engine, but larger than a motocycle.

Meds, meds, meds.
I don't want any more pills.
Just want someone to talk to who understands.
More often than once every two weeks.
