What?! They have a continuous page view mode in dr1000s? What does it look like? Looks like they are trying to justify the higher price of dr1000s by disabling some very useful features on the dr800, that would be really stupid!

It should only ask the time/date when the realtime clock loses track of time (when the battery has run completely dead) OR when your time is not set correctly (i.e. the system time is set before the build time of the firmware).

This is ....... May I ask how dr1000s behaves in the pan mode? Same as dr800? It is hard to believe that you guys have a mighty PDF reader (iLiad), but then a crippled one after changing to Adobe SDK. How hard is it to implement "go to the top of next page in pan mode when the current page's bottom is met and flipbar is pushed forward"? Just one line of code! (Yes, I know what I am talking about because I make a living by programming)

Yeah, understood. We've got a lot of bugs in the beta release in our product too. As long as they can fix it in the final build, no problem here. The key thing for beta is to report as many problems as possible, so the developers can fix the most important ones....

Is it so difficult to do a macro which, when reaching bottom of the page, switches to the next page and then simulate flipbar pushes until it reaches the top of the page (or a number o predefined flipbar pushes like, let's say, 5)? Or the SDK does not provide the events for bottom/top of the page reached (although I suppose you can check what part of the page is displayed after panning and compare it with the previous one.

IT IS EXTREMELY ANNOYING TO READ SOMETHING ZOOMED IN LANDSCAPE MODE !!!

There is a continuous page flow mode on the dr1000s, if that is what you mean. This means that when I use the stylus to scroll to the end of one page I can keep scrolling onto the next page, and keep going like that as if all the pages were joined together as one long roll of paper.

Similarly, if I am at the bottom of one page, pressing the page flip button will take me to the top of the next page (or vice versa if I press the button in the opposite direction).

Does this really not happen on the 800?

it would be really sad if the Irex has taken this route to differentiate their products.

And you have no other way but to wait till the feature gets implemented (if ever).

I, on my part, and a number of my colleagues are also waiting and postponing the purchase of the DR800 till the IREX implements the promised features and makes its software on par with competition (there's no doubt (yet) that it produces great hardware).

The danger for the Irex is the soon to be released 901/902 from Pocketbook, which is known for its great software features.

@CoolDragon: as far as I remember, continuous page flow is not so trivial with the new adobe sdk, so that's the reason they don't have it in DR800, as in newer versions of the DR1000 firmware. Hopefully, they will find an workaround or figure out how to do this, because it's really annoying reading anything zoomed in landscape mode
