Cover images for my ebooks
Is there an easy way of adding the cover images to an ebook collection on my PC (does any existing application do this)? I think I can see a way of writing a program to do it but wondered whether it was worth the effort. Also does each ereader store covers in the same fashion?

Right click on the book in your library, it will be one of the options. If it is a common book it will even download a cover for you.

http://calibre-ebook.com/user_manual/conversion.html
You can drag the book into Calibre, edit the metadata, including adding your own cover artwork. Even better, with a free isbndb.com account, you can get the cover downloaded automatically. |

Thanks for all the advice - Calibre is quite neat isn't it!
Some of my books are in the format "author name - series name - book title.type" and this causes issues. Is there anyway to get Calibre to understand this type of format or should I rename these files? Some books ended up with the title and author swapped over - is there a way to swap them back without editing the data manually? If I add meta info and covers to a whole folder of books I might get problems with 10% (still pretty good though). Is there an option to see which ebooks don't have covers yet? |
