1 x XP(this one), 1 x Vista(wireless laptop), 1 x 7(bloke's).
I am doing something wrong! I should just find a double adapter for USB printer with a really long cable and I would have the problem solved. Although bloke keeps saving his dox to a USB stick and bringing them across to print on this computer, at the moment it is faster than trying to share the farking printer.

It is not my day. I have done no work.

Ooh I have found a website with information that shows promise. be back soon after I have read the latest instructions.

Update!

The vista wireless laptop and the W7 bloke PC can now see each other.

But the printer is installed on this PC old XP that I am too lazy to update.
Next step to get the old geriatric XP PC to play nicely.

Keep cables plugged in would help! :sigh:

shit! now W7-PC wants a username and password for vista laptop, but it doesn't have one! Blank passwords are not allowed.

I have managed to print a document from blokePC using the laptop plugged into the printer. Not too bad as I usually have it here anyway. Just a matter of switching USB cable from this computer to laptop now and have laptop on. Bloke should be happy with some progress.

I'm battling anxiety. I have a big trip coming up and I'm thinking of all the layovers I have and the hours it'll take and how it's just me and the kids and I am going to make my boys use the bathroom on the plane (no way am I letting them go into airport bathrooms alone at the age they are- 8 and 9... does that make me a really paranoid mommy? LAX and two young boys in a cavernous bathroom... don't think so!)

I freaking hate going to the LAX. I either fly out of Vegas or Ontario.

3 kids here and had to fly home for death in family not too long ago. The trip was pure hell.

Nope, not paranoid, just a good mom. When my son was young and we were in airports around the world, we had a trick.

Since it was just me and him, I would stand by the door and pretend to be a grumpy mom and tell him he had only 1 minute to be in and out or I was coming in after him. I also would call out the time every 20 seconds.

****psst... you know what was the hardest part about this? I couldn't use the restroom because I couldn't leave him alone while I went.
