Ah, but you can now delete books for good. Go to Manage Your Kindle, then find the book in the list of purchased books (use the search facility). Use the Plus sign to open up the book's info there and there is now a DELETE button, which will delete it forever (it will remind you that if you do so, you'll have to re-purchase the book to get it back).

I got "...Dragon" last year when it was free. one of the best reads I've had in awhile. I ended up getting the entire series. highly recommend it!
