...and you can close it? I tried a standard size DVD case but it won't close.

Yes I have no trouble closing it; the DVD case is an 1 inch deep on the outside.

Here's the details of the original post:

Looking for a case for your kobo ereader? While waiting for kobo to make one, look no further than your dvd cabinet for a easy to make version.

I made two prototypes...

- The first one lined and covered with material

- The second one lined with thin foam and covered with a paper insert - the same as a normal dvd case (do not put foam on the inside left side of the case - it will make the inside too thick and it will not close)

Regardless of the version made - you need to cut the raised section of the dvd case out (where the dvd snaps in) and cut a notch for the kobo navigation button.

They are not cases. They are sleeves. Different thing. Not as useful as a proper cover.

I wanted ANY form of protection. I like the CASE (pardon me SLEEVE) as I can carry the Kobo in my pocket.

I just bought a case from Dollar store and mod it to fit my Kobo.
It work for me and the case is only $2.00!!

Thats great! I had thought about a passport holder as well. How did you make the part that holds the Kobo (on the right side)?

Hard case, water resistant, zip up. Looks like you would have to remove the Kobo to use it.

EDIT: But damn, the shipping rates if you live outside the US are insane.

It's made by [DELETED], and is a high quality product! I just ordered 2 to make sure i have an extra. Way better thenna sleeve, I would rather put my koboin a sock, then the roots sleeve.

Dude, don't act like you are just a regular reader who just happened across these cases. If you have a good product to sell stand behind it and be honest.
