I enjoy everything Terry Pratchett writes --- some more than others...

The first two novels, both of which contain Rincewind the Wizard(?), Twoflower the tourist and The Luggage are immensely re-readable.

I read it as an Ebook, (given to me a few months ago). I most definitely as you say also did not "get" it.

For me it was so much drivel that I seriously wondered if it was written by someone other than Salenger. If it was genuine then it seems to me a glaring case of "The Kings new clothes" syndrome.

Just read *Life with no Breaks* by Nick Spalding a most amusing and entertaining read, Smashwords, I Can't recommend highly enough.

Now for Thin Blood by Vicki Tyley. Only $0.99 at Amazon, and a surprise hit at the Kindle store. From what I've read so far, its success is deserved.

Just finished 61 Hours by Lee Child and am on to The Girls Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, if it's as good as the first two in the series, I'm in for a great read.

61 Hours was a decent read (as were all the Jack Reacher novels by Child; I assume you've read them all?).

The Girls Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest was also very good, probably my second favourite of the trilogy (after the first one).

A good read. I had my suspicions about half way through, but I wasn't completely sure I was right until the denouement. A good story, even though I have reservations about a couple of plot points. I'll certainly look out for Vicki's next book.

Now for something I bought back in January 2007, and apparently never got around to reading. Tigra by R. A. Leahy. Science Fiction, with an excellent set of ratings at Fictionwise.

I have read all the Reacher novels and thought this was one of the better although I found the ending a bit strange. SPOILER He's running up the stairs when the kerosene explodes but we don't find out whether he made it out or not. This followed by an ad for the next book due out in October.

I'm reading Phillip Margolin's Executive Privilege, I always enjoy Margolin's books. It's one of my last NYPL books. My subscription expires today and they no longer allow non-residents to obtain or renew cards. Sad, sad, sad!

BTW, Bob, I live in Costa Rica and haven't seen that penguin!
