Thanks for all the well wishing & sharing of migraine stories. I have experienced them all my life, and have had extreme medical work-ups. Head appears clear of masses. History of some head injuries - I'm a klutz with no depth vision so I have banged my head a few times.

As my last doctor said: "We can control the stress, the food allergies, etc. - but we can't control the weather."

This last go-round was exacerbated by my health insurance company - who decided not to cover the med I've been taking for years that works - until I have tried and proven that the meds they're willing to cover (cheaper) don't work. I've given up and will pay for the good meds out-of-pocket - missed too much work & life lurking in a dark silent room. Will cost about $25/pill. But as the commercials say, "Relief from pain -- priceless."

Now - how's that for a rant & rave??

Manticore update: well, it was disabled on the eleventieth try... by someone else who apparently didn't bother blowing it to bits.
