It was an adventure, but I got it done! My next door neighbors came out to see what was going on, as they kept hearing "something". They had a good laugh watching me.

Right now, just got off the phone with my mom. She said the wind yesterday knocked over the new 14 foot rolling gate we just built and put up (metal frame and redwood planks). My brother and nephew came over and put it back up on the rails. Now, we have to figure a way to keep it from doing that again.

on a somewhat related note (pun intended), marc, you're now a legend among a certain group of my friends, because i told them about you and your (mystifying) love affair with "ça plane pour moi" and then about the discussion i had with my other friend who unearthed "jet boy jet girl" and they went running off to dig up "jet boy jet girl" for themselves and, well, to make a long story short(ish), "jet boy jet girl" got a place of honour in the playlist for my friend naomi's leaving party last week.

for some nice QUIET neighbors this time. I only have one little tomato plant this year and he/she is already outside in his little planter / pot.

i have no tomato plants at all this year, just some cat grass (for the cats, obviously) and i'm pretty sure that stuff is genetically engineered to die after 3 weeks or so, since it does no matter what i do.

wind is a bit scary. i try to stay home whenever it gets too windy ever since that gigantic tempest we had 10 years ago or so that torn half of the forest up by the roots and half the rooves off the buildings in paris. plus it makes you crazy.

I remember that storm! It was all over the news programs here. Scary!

I don't do well with tomato plants (which is why I only have one this year ) My roses do very well (no matter how many times I chop them down or prune them to skeletons). Go figure... It takes forever to dead head them and pick up petals and still they thrive! Anything else I plant, that I want to grow... just dies. I do have good luck with citrus trees in pots. I have grapefruit, orange, and tangelo trees.
