If you can get access to someone's PC, right click on the image and select "Save image as...", note the file name and where you save it to, then sign into MobileRead and upload it to your User CP page under "Edit Your Avatar". Your friend can then delete it from their PC if they desire.

Try this: go to Edit avatar in your control panel, then copy the following URL in the box under "Option 1 - Enter the URL to the Image on Another Website "

That's what I tried. It won't let me use Option 2 at all

Ah, I see, I tried it and got the error message. I can't think of another option than find a computer that will allow you to download the image to its hard drive, then upload it. I suppose you can't do this from a public access computer? Like in a library or Internet cafe?

I've never seen an Internet cafe in my life. I don't know if I would be allowed to download something to a library computer.
It's okay. Just my luck running true to form. Maybe now MR will get some decent stock avatars! Skulls and mature stuff!

Why don't you try it? I'm sure you can download to the desktop, and delete the file after you've uploaded it.

The MR avatars look OK, it's just a shame you can only see them 3 at a time (or maybe I missed something and you can see the whole collection somewhere?).
