Astak's website is still flashing - Page 2

Sorry, but the site is rather useless for me at the moment. The web browser I am using does not have flash.

The Astak's I ordered arrived today.

I'll charge them over night and give one to the sister who lives nearby. I'll have to wait for the other one to visit.

Congrats. Make sure to flash them with the latest firmware after they have charged. There have been lots of new features and fixes for the PEz. You can find the newest firmware, along with instructions, at http://www.theezreader.com/. Unfortunately, the website doesn't let me give you an exact link, but click support and choose "Download Firmware" from the menu and you'll get the latest firmware along with instructions for how to flash it.

I gave one to the sister who lives nearby. I don't think I'll be able to get it back any time soon. A number of the free books are ones she hasn't read, or has been meaning to read, for years.

Add /html to the end http://www.theezreader.com/html and it will work fine. No need for flash.

My sister tells me her Astak has only 300 books on it. We checked both the internal memory and the sd card. Where does she download the others ? I bought the Astak 5" EZpro during the Mother's Day sale.

I am as mystified as you about why they told me 700 and your sister only got 300. I will check that out; and I apologize for our mistake.

I do not know where you live. If it is in the United States than you can go to:www.EZread.com and click on Google Free Library and all 1 Million of those eBooks are FREE on our site and she gets the benefit of picking and choosing what she wants.

If it is outside the USA it will take more planning on our part. Again, let me know and I will try to assist! And I am sorry!

Our warehouse people are good and hard working. But, it is conceivable they could have packed a card with only 300 in error.

Try having your sister do the Google Free eBooks on www.EZread.com. That way she gets exactly what she wants.

Speaking of Flash for the Astak websites. I noticed TheEZReader.com now is completely Flash. Unfortunately, this makes it impossible to navigate and view several of the support pages on a smaller screen (like my netbook's 1024 x 600 resolution display). It effectively truncates most of the pages. Also there are floating element block issues where certain buttons or ads are floating in the middle of a page and covering up a good portion of content (see example below).

Lastly, I hate the loading screen when I go to the site. Could we get the old XHTML site back? Otherwise, give us a non-Flash link to a duplicate version of the site without the use of any Flash.
