Hi All,

I am 23, female and from Australia. My new Kindle DX will hopefully be delieverd today

I used to read a lot as a kid, mostly because my dad worked in the book business. He had a big truck that was painted all different colours that was full of books. When we were good we were allowed to get in the back and browse through to pick one we liked.

Mostly we got mis-printed books - ones where the cover was upsidedown or backwards, ones with extra blank pages (which was excellent for self-illustrating ) or simply over-runs with the title pages torn out.

Unfortuantely I have been reading less and less as an adult becuase the local public libraries are so poor (lack of selection, old dirty falling apart books) and I just don't have time to drive several suburbs over to a decent library.

So my new kindle should turn all that around!

I am also waiting on a black leather M-Edge platform case, matching light and borsabella carry bag for it so excited!

Now I had better get to work to accept deliivery of the thing!

Hello and welcome, vnv. Lucky you to have access to so many books as a child. Hopefully you'll start reading more once you get your new Kindle. You'll find lots of recommendations for books on this site. Enjoy.

Sounds like you had lots of fun with books as a child. Pity you didn't get to read much as you grew older. I am sure the Kindle will reignite your love for reading. Fingers crossed on a speedy delivery.
