I must say. It has been fun watching to election and voting happen over there....still waiting on the final result....

they had hopes to be the chosen ones,
to be anointed,
with the ways and means.
they went out unto the multitude,
and asked, with promises.
the multitude saw their hopes within the words and the deeds,
the wisdom;
Change.....
and they crossed their verdict,
in happiness and surety.
but tribal forces defeated the wisdom of the words,
the deeds were twisted.
the chosen ones were to be denied,
the anointed oils sullied,
sacrifices deemed unworthy.
Change.....
chieftains wrangle,
forces align,
supporters fray.
Change.....
one by one they start
to tumble.....
promises made,
jumble.
Change.....

I just saw where they have at least initially resolved the issue with the conservatives in power of a coalition government...still sounds somewhat shakey though.

The Glacier

Brilliant in full sight
of shocking moon;
cold and white
as like full noon;
reflects its light
both day and night.

Hardened by age
worn down it breaks;
no longer locked in cage
nor sired; it snakes
across the open stage
older than the wisest sage.

In time will cease to grow
nor light reflect;
nor to flow
no longer checked;
no more ice nor snow
no longer slow.

The image in the first stanza is quite catching, well lighted I woud say. with the last verse setting up what maybe is a riddle. Very nice. Silvery.

The second stanza has catching changes of focus, pace and tone. Before was flight now it snakes. Misterious.

The third sets in duration (in time) and the resounding no are like the bells of destiny: you will end. The last verse no longer slow surprises and unsettles poor me.

Intriguing stuff. Classy

thank you , but as my daughter has now just asked "what's the title" or the subject .... ? It took my wife a wee while of prompting to find what I meant it to mean ....
