But then Lobster counted only to 9, is he missing a finger?

I didn't see any inconsistency. Rock's count of 9 was approximate (he even said so). Verencat counted 10 mods in the room out of the 11. PilotBob accounted for the whereabouts and activities of everyone of the 11 except for Nekokami. Therefore, the only mod absent at the time of the murder was Nekokami. This was the only fact that appeared clear to me

When you give an approximate number, you never give 9, when you can give a nice round number like 10!
Why is it ok that verencat counted 10 mods out of the 11?
And where was nekokami if she was absent, and how did she come back and when? And how come she had no idea that there had been a murder? The stiff was right there in plain view.

Oh well, it doesn't really matter.
Thing is, I thought of the official solution, for the official reason, and rejected it.
I still would reject it now if I tried to solve the mystery again, so I don't really feel like

. I guess MTH doesn't really look like a killer to me...

And I think that Lobster really should ask a few more questions and have a few more facts before going around accusing people. This time he may have been lucky, but really, he did not have a shred of evidence against MTH.

Because it matches PB's testimony exactly. (A little too exactly maybe. In the real life who has the time to count to 10 when there is a murer going on
