I got it right too, but my logic was that he lied about what he was doing and that that the motive was he got mad at pshrynk for trying to break into one of the cases he had just polished.
Of course after I submitted my answer I spent a day and half second guessing myself thinking I hadn't been clever enough. ![]() |

Oh well - like an overly logical dolt I went with physical evidence and picked Patricia - matching the Moby Dick on the Nook with her formatting in Mobi, and her comments on PDF as pshrynk's dead format. After Rock's hint on listening to what people said, MTH was my second choice, but of course I stayed with my original pick. And lost.
Congrats to all the insightful intelligent lucky winners!!! As for the rest of us -- there will be a community cleansing forehead slap at exactly 12 noon EST!! |

'Fraid so, Your Majesty.
Who would have lost their job if the prize had been stolen? Who was first describe as an "Invisible, inadvertently violent," gibbon? (While always appearnig as a pacifist.) Who was the only non-moderator who could "get past" the security guard? (Because he was the security guard!) Who could cover for himself, by being an expert at trans-dimensional relocation? Since Adrian could be invisible, obviously nobody could see him commit the crime. Remember Gibbons are immensely strong.... Motive, opportunity, method, and escape - all in one package... I know I did!
I did guess MTH, but for a different reason, quote: Quote:
My back-up was Verencat's canny statement that there were 10 mods in the room. However technically correct this was, MTH was actually in the room--twice! (I suspected MTH may have bribed Verencat with extra string to play with, which might have even helped distract the others while future-MTH did the deed). Well... that was fun! On to Lost! He wasn't trying to murder him. He was going to tap him on the shoulder to get his attention to ask him what he was doing, and Pshrynk starting waving the crowbar around, not seeing anybody. Adrian panicked, grabbed the crowbar from Pshrynk, and Thwacked him a couple times in the heat of the moment to get his attention. But, being panicked, he didn't know his own strength and... An inadvertent death. Rickey M. Could get him off with Man 2 and no time....

Well, technically interspecies death counts as hunting. That's not illegal in Texas if it's in season...
