And I have chosen Patricia

I thought that these two testimonies of Patricia were contradictory. That's why I regarded her as the killer...

Well, MTH (as I stated before the contest ended) was in the area where the murder occurred, but I couldn't find a motive that wouldn't have applied equally to any of the moderators. Simple robbery didn't seem strong enough except in the case of Ravenne, for whom it was a clear irritant. I've known people to steal where I work, but it's never occurred to me to bean any of them with a crowbar. But while Ravenne had a clear motive, it didn't seem to me that she had the opportunity. I picked Nekokami because no one knew where she was (she could have been hiding--laying in wait), and she did have a good motive.

I did. I was wondering if she was spray painting the dog to cover the blood... though for a while, the dog was in the running. Wondered if he was just someone's converted avi.

Way off.

* Pilotbob said that Ravenne was spray-painting a dog at the time, but she said she was trying to get the next contest ready for the members. Was he lying about what she was doing, or does the next contest involve a spray-painted dog? Since the next contest is now out (a drawing for an iPad), it seems as if Ravenne was lying. Why?

* What were the significance of the printed words “Moby Dick” on the Nook?

* Why did Patricia say that “Zelda never touches the Red Button,” when during the course of the story, Zelda pressed the Red Button twice, and was obviously quite familiar with its operation?

* Why did Nate the Great say, “I understand that pshrynk took one on the head. Nasty business. But then, he didn't know that much about electronics.” What's that got to do with the price of tea in China?

Just curious...

The undead professionals of the Monstnmags Enterprises Legal Department have been in contact with all "green" subjects, including the accused, and instructed them to make no statements whatsoever to media, members or monkeys unless their statements are utterly misleading and completely disingenuous. The Undead Legal Department believes it can have Rock Lobster eating his last meal (rock lobster?) on death-row before sun-up (for obvious reasons, they only work at night).

Personally I wanted to try a jailbreak, but my Legal Department have been somewhat disenchanted with my antics of late, and threatened to let the Queensland government cancel my Pub Licence.

Cheers,
Marc

Well, she did say that the murder interrupted her formatting of three MOBI books. The Nook on which was printed "Moby Dick" could have been a clue pointing in her direction! The dying doc could have hand-printed the clue as he lay dying.

I believe I over-thought this thing!

It was something in one of Rock's mutterings to himself that go tme onto the clue - something about all the moderators as he stated "I was starting to get a little tired of the literal mindedness of this crowd." & "These people played with language way too much for my tastes. I wrote down what he'd said and started to make little loops and squiggles in my notes to tie things together. "

Especially the last sentence....from the final chapter Rock posted all the mods had a comment to make, and I tried to match each of those comments where I could. I ended up with three that could have gone to anyone ...

My final clue was ""No, I must state categorically that I did not at all see the person who did this horrible crime."

I thought about that, but none of the other moderators did, either! Anyone could have made that statement. Is it any more cryptic than Nate's statement that “I understand that pshrynk took one on the head. Nasty business. But then, he didn't know that much about electronics.”?

The Montsnmags Enterprises Undead Legal Department have strongly urged the relevant personages (yes, they're the kind of legal folk who use terms like "personages") to follow the recommended actions to the letter. As Rock Lobster's investigations should indicate, however, the probability of said personages paying any heed to said advice is similar to the probability of Will Ferrell making a movie that doesn't make me want to vomit my own colon.

Cheers,
Marc

For a while I entertained the notion that four moderators were involved in a bungled attempt to steal the readers, but that pshrynk had interrupted them and one of them killed him to keep him silent! It did seem as if some folks were covering for someone, especially Zelda!
