Clowns are scary, I don't know why they are allowed near small children My mother likes to tell about the time she took my cousin and myself to see a Charlie Chaplin movie. My cousin spent the movie hiding under the seat, and I staring at the screen with tears running down my cheeks Last edited by FlorenceArt; 05-16-2010 at 01:06 PM. |

In a perfect world, the plants we love would grow like weeds and the weeds would be the ones that are so fragile that they'd fold up and die if accidentally stepped on or if they weren't watered at precisely the right time in precisely the right amounts; and if you planted weeds too early, the frost would kill them!

Fear of clowns is reasonable enough. The smile is false. Painted on. What kind of person must hide his true feelings while entertaining children? It is a mask meant to entice the young. What hides behind the greasepaint? There lurks the Stranger. I'm not surprized pshrynk is frightened by clowns, as they represent the same deception that psychiatrists use upon their patients. |

Seriously, here there seems to be a trend in public gardens here, to use plants that are more rustic and require less care (and environment-unfriendly chemicals) to grow. I think there is wisdom in this. Some weeds are beautiful

Our deed restrictions has a line in them that says something like... "You shall not allow weeds and other desirable plants to grow on your property..." Well gee... as far as I know only god, or mother nature or whatever can "not allow" weeds to grow. BOb |

Steam them and stir fry them with oil and garlic. Can add some tomato too. Steam them, cut them up and mix them to a thick garbanzo soup. These are recps from our deep South. Then you can let them go to seed and blow the magic puffs away. Or make a crown to decorate you upper spheroid. |
