This is so funny. LittleDaughter(38 months) when she saw a clown at the Circus, around Xmas, she was terribly scared, just by herself. Up to that moment she was having a ball. The clown was quite benevolent and absolutely normal as clowns go.

So maybe your story is true, at least for a 3 years old.

The people who live just over the road from us are usually pleased when we come over for their New Year celebrations - there's champagne and whisky outside on the pavement, fireworks in the middle of the road (literally), and after midnight as struck they invite the yeti to go in first, as the version of first-footing they prefer is one in which a tall dark haired male enters the house first.

That and we usually provide the whisky

Yes, about 18k gallons. It's pretty common in the upper middle class or better neighborhoods in Tampa to have an in-ground pool.

When we bought the house there was a sand filter. We replaced it with a DE filter... because they work the best... remove the smallest stuff. However you do have to back wash it a couple times a year and then once a year take it apart and clean out the screens. It is at those times I wish we had gone for a cartridge filter like you have.

We put the chlorine generator in about quite a while ago... 6-8 years ago maybe (boy time flies) at the same time we had the solar heating panels installed.

if I recall correctly it was about $1500 to install it. But, it is so much nicer than dealing with the chlorine tablets and liquid chlorine that you needed to shock the pool with every week. I'm not sure about VA but here you pretty much have to maintain the pool all year. There is no closing then opening. So, well worth it.

The pool is great... and when the kids were little we were in it all the time. We don't use it as much now... but it's still nice to have when you need it. I've been having some problems with one of my knees. I started walking every day for exercise last year. Did it every day for about 7 months... but my knee just got very painful. Took about 6 months for it to really recover. I am planning to start swimming instead of walking... at least till I lose another 50 lbs or so.

cops pretty much believe in 'em too. A shotgun was my son's first firearm purchase.
