Just out of interest, does anybody know what the legal position is if this is an error on tBorders' part?

Generally on price mistakes they have the option of canceling all orders placed. Price mistakes regularly occur with Dell and sometimes they let them go through, but mostly they get canceled.

The speculation is that a series of replacements will come along....

Nevertheless, this is an excellent price.

Should I get another one? I DON'T KNOW.

I've been eyeing some Grado cans (SR325), and that will set me back about $325. [This would go along with my McIntosh 6300 Amp.)

I think that the price was supposed to be $199 with $100 off list price rather than $100 with $199 off list price. They are still selling the PRS 300 at $169. The sales price also didn't apply to in store pick up. I guess we all have to wait a couple of days to see what happens.

I'm wondering if maybe they are trying to burn off their stock of PRS-600s and sell only the Kobo reader, which they want to have their own ebook store linked to. Article here.

Gah! I don't need one but that price is awesome and I got my tax refund a week or so ago (with the homebuyer tax credit). ACK WHAT TO DO?@?!?!?!??!

Well they've already charged my debit card, so that's normally a good sign that it will go through.

Well, I just ordered one as well... and it now says on "Back Order Usually ships within 2 weeks.

SO I guess they have sold a lot of them :-) I have a feeling that those who got in first might get theirs as they ship within 24hours but now that they are on Back Order they have time to stop it ... oh well ..we shall see..

Acts like there's a payment problem (there isn't, I've tried multiple valid cards) when you try and check out.

Someone half-fixed this I'd say. Someone I think didn't have the power to change the front end (what the price appears as) but was able to monkey with whether or not the transaction finishes out.

EDIT - Or not.

It kept doing that with debit cards (even though they were Visa or MC). When I switched to a "real" credit card it worked.

Even for only $100 there's no way I can justify buying one!

I ordered one too. That was too good a deal to pass up, and if they cancel it...no harm, no foul as far as I'm concerned.
