I've just installed prs+ and "all worked to cheers" (this would bee googles translation from the-ebook.org for it worked well).

I fiddled a little with the dic and finally worked out where to place the file. I'll check the differences in usage to the initial manual and see what has to be changed.

I just couldn't find the stuff like how many pages are left, what the average page reading time is and such. Is this somewhere in prs+ or are these functions that have to be added individually?

You have to go this way:
- Einstellungen
- PRS+Einstellungen
- Seiten-Index
- Index-Stil in Büchern
- and there you are...

Ah, thanks. What a pity that all this is now available on my old 505 (currently my wifes reader) and not on my 600

But her English is not as good as mine is and so she'll appreciate the dictionary.

Is there a way to set the enter button to power the reader off? Prscustomizer does this, and I really like it. However, if I flash prs+ and then try to apply prscustomizer, I lose the menu structure that prs+ has

The advantage of PRS+ is to assign any key you like to nearly any function - including shutting down of course...

This way:
- settings
- prs+ settings
- key bindings
- here are three levels to assign any key
- choose one after the other starting with menu for example...
- and so on...

Kartu, what is the difference between scan sd, and scan sd via mount? and what is the function of mount sd (disable and enable)?

First of all - thank you kartu for your great work. I was waiting with PRS+ instalation till there was dictionary support - this is most important feature for me as I was bored with inserting SD cards.
I was using modified DictioLauncherX dictionary and I consider it more comfortable.
1) More comfortable button mapping (IMHO):
-pgNext/pgPrev for next/previous input column
-joyRight/joyLeft for next/previous word in dictionary
-joyUp/joyDown for scrolling in word explanation (especially good with my modifiaction - not implemented now)
-enter for translation

2) My modifiaction:
Some words has a lot of meanings (e.g. set has 38 meanings in my dictionary!!!). So I modified dictionary this way, that all meanings of word are in single line separated by tabelator. I modified dictiolauncherX this way that all meanings are displayed at once (each meaning starts with * and is on the new line) If it takes more than 10 lines (size of window) you can still scroll results (see 1))

I would implement necessary changes (dictionary.js/dictionary.xml) but I do not know how to replace these files in reader Could anybody help me with this?
PS: of course if anyone/karto is interested in this modification I'll be happy to make it 'public' including program transforming current dictionary to new format. Old format works with my modification as well.

Take into account that settings layout (i.e. which option is were) is very likely to change in the future versions.

If you'd get it working with PRS+ I'd happily include this modification. (but please, use existing version as a base, it doesn't copy libfsk around, has PRS+ style dictionary settings etc)

Unfortunately 1.1.1beta contains minor bug, that ony affects developers (only combined core/addons js files are supported). So you could either harness PRS+ build script (which could generate such files for you) or wait for the 1.1.2beta which will allow you to modify dictionary.xml/js directly on SD card.

Great, I think I'll wait till 1.1.2beta as I'm afraid that building PRS+ is too dificult for me. I'll learn that later on I hope. Thanks!

Thanks, Klawong. That did the trick. Now if I can only figure out how to get a custom logo on there in place of the "Reader" logo in the top menu. I know where to put the edited kBookAssets.png file in the prscustomizer, but not in the PRS+ file structure. I've tried flashing with prscustomizer, but when I do, as I mentioned before, I lose access to the additional functionality that PRS+ gives me. The menus revert back to the original Reader menus.

Thoughts?

Delete stuff other than mentioned png from the 505.... folder prepared by PRSCustomizer and it should work.

Does that include the main.xml file?

Additionally, in the 505.1.1.00.18040\opt\sony\ebook\application folder, there's a file named kconfig.xml. Should I delete it as well?

You can unpack fks.img of the installer using cramsfsk.

1. copy the Fsk.img of the installer in other folder.
   
2. from windows ms-dos inside the same folder where you have copied the fsk.img run this action cramfsck.exe -v -x FSK Fsk.img FSK will be the folder where fsk.img will be unpacked. Change in this what you want (FSK\sony\ebook\application\resources (.xml files) or FSK\sony\ebook\application\resources\scripts (main.xml, icons and logos)
   
3. Then with mkcramsfs.ese FSK Fsk.img will pack again the all files unpacked before.
   
4. Now you have to create a md5 file checksum. Drag and drog Fsk.im above md5Sums.exe, so it will open a window with a serie of numbers and letters.
   
5. Open with notepad the file Fsk.img.md5 content in the folder of installer, and editing with the new code generated before with md5Sums.exe.
   
6. Copy the new Fsk.img into the folder of the installer replacing previous.
   
7. And introduce a sd card with previous all files, and follow the steps run installer with expert mode, update firmware PRR+.

Note you have cywgin, cramsfsk, mkcramfsk, and md5sums.exe and the different libraries. this tools you can get http://code.google.com/p/prs-plus/so...d#hg/505/tools
