Currently re-reading "The Lord of the Rings." It's going pretty well this time, maybe I'll actually finish it. I've tried reading this several times, but have made it all the way through only twice.

Took me 4 tries to get through it once kept stopping 200 pages into Fellowship.
Read this series because I loved The Hobbit. Can`t wait for the movies.

Finally bought a French e-book today! L'horizon by Patrick Modiano. My mother is a fan but I haven't read many books by him (only one I think). I hope I like this one (it's his latest)

I usually put it down about half way through The Two Towers. If I can get past that, I'll finish it. I hope the new movies are still on schedule. December, 2012, is a long way off to wait for the first.

Currently reading the "Repairman Jack" series by F.Paul Wilson. Finished the first two books, "The Tomb" and "Legacies". Loved them! This series is like "the Equalizer" meets "Kolchak, the Night Stalker" in Lovecraft country! Just started the third book, "Conspiracies" and can't put it down!

Love them! I started these in pbook. I'm looking to fill in the missing books in the collection.

I started with "Legacies" and " Conspiracies" (couldn't find "The Tomb". I'm missing all the ones up to "Gateways" then missing "Crisscross", but I have "Infernal". I plan on starting from the beginning this summer.

Just finished this month's Book Club selection, The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne. As someone else mentioned, Part I was slow going and Part II was not much better, but things really picked up in Part III: it was a real joy to read. After finishing Chapter 15 of Part III, where the mystery of the island was revealed, all I could say was, "I knew it! I just knew it!" Yes, I saw it coming, I figured it out, but that didn't lessen its impact! The pace and payoff of Part III is well worth the wade through Parts I and II.

I'm currently reading "Under the Dome" by Stephen King on my Kindle. I'm a little more than halfway through, and I must say that this book does not disappoint, especially if you are already a Stephen King fan. It reminds me of King's earlier work, reminiscent of "The Stand", and the "Dark Tower" series. The premise is certainly different, but King has managed to give these characters life, so that you are genuinely concerned about them. Two thumbs up so far!

Finished it, and it's good but with a lot of similarities to his other book I read (Un cirque passe), which I liked better.

On a whim I bought The Tomorrow People by Judith Merril at FictionWise. From the excerpt on the site, it looks well written.

I like that FW is publishing many old science-fiction books in multiformat, though I feel uneasy that those are probably out of copyright in the US and the author won't get a cent from those sales. On the other hand, I wish there were more books from the recent past (after WWII) available in e-format, and not just sci-fi...

I read that a few month ago. I enjoyed it.

I just finished Wolf Hall by Hillary Mantell, which was a book I really had to take my time with, However it was worth it. I am currently reading Becoming Charlemagne: Europe, Baghdad, and the Empires of A.D. 800 by Jeff Sypeck
