I've recently finished Déjà Dead by Kathy Reichs. Pretty good overall.

When the bones of a woman are discovered in the grounds of an abandoned monastery, Dr Temperance Brennan of the Laboratoire de Medecine Legale in Montreal is convinced that a serial killer is at work. The detective in charge of the case disagrees with her, but he is forced to revise his opinion.

Now I have started The Last Stormlord by Glenda Larke.

I've just started the novel, Parrot & Olivier in America by Peter Carey.

Not available as an Ebook from my library, I'm reading the traditional format. The book jacket artwork is lovely, it looks like an oil painting from an 18th century master, the texture even looks like canvas.

Peter Carey is one of those authors that I place on request as soon as it becomes available at my library.

I categorize him as a "tell me a story" writer. Ala Robert Louis Stevenson, Dickens and Dumas.

Parrot & Olivier is true to form so far, setting starts in France during Restoration when Olivier is a child. Olivier's character is based on the real life Alexis de Tocqueville.

Just finished re-reading "The Mysterious Island" and have started on "The Truth" by Terry Pratchett. Up next is Guy Gavriel Kay's new book which seems to be available everywhere except Amazon.

And this is a good read too. A similar feel to his other books, although it must be admitted that the others are better. Even one mention of a "Zarathustran sunstone". Nice to find the Fuzzies are in there somewhere.

Reading The Book Thief my Markus Zusak.

The Raj Quartet by Paul Scott. I've finished the Jewel in the Crown and started on The Day of the Scorpion yesterday. It was a little slow for me to get into at first, but now, well I read over 200 pages yesterday. Not an e-book by the way, I picked up a great deal at my local library surplus sale a couple of months ago; $5.00 for the whole set in hardcover. It is at this point an orphan title as far as e-books go.
