Why don't you like epub? For me, epub was one of the reasons I bought a Kobo.

Hmmm ... Kindle, $259, with case, $289.
Kobo, $149, with Ford Focus and owner's manual case, $32,449.

I think I'll skip the case. I'd be tempted by ficbot's but it's too girly for me.

Try for a used Focus, but make sure you get the owner's manual case, worked for me

I got my Kobo on the day after it launched. My local chapters recommended a leather Pierre Belvedere case for ereaders about $12 Canadian It's a bit of a tight fit but being leather, it will stretch. (I leave it on when I put it in the case, using power buttin gets pressed by the pressure of the case, turning the reader off.) It's a nice green and looks like a day planner when in the case, I figure it will protect my reader when it's in my purse.

So the Nook cover from M-Edge works! It's about 1/8th of an inch too long, but the reader seems to stay in fine. I'll post pictures when I get a chance.

Here's a Ford Focus Owner's Manual Case (with owner's manual) on eBay

hey Purrceyz, I don't know if its the same thing but my wife and I decided to look at leather book covers at Chapters and we found the same thing. My wife got a green one. It's a tight fit but it will stretch for sure, and only $12.

I never even thought of the power button issue but come to think of it she may put it in the side so the power button is facing out.

It's a good idea for those that don't want to wait for something to ship, and would like to save money until the 'real' cover comes out.

I heard that we can get a cover at Roots stores in Canada.

m0_joe, it sounds like we got the same Pierre Belevedere case; mine is also green leather.

Are you looking at the jackets or sleeves?

I like the destination, journey and hip bags displayed on that site. I think that I may pass on a standalone sleeve/jacket mainly because the Kobo is so comfortable to hold naked, but the carry bags look very interesting.

The GO! Jacket is the one that my mom went with. I find holding the thin devices makes my hand cramp up, and I like holding it like a pbook.

Kobo-specific cases WILL come out soon enough. I'm holding out. Of you can simply sew a nice sleeve, too.

The only problem I can see with the Gelaskins is getting the back piece on the texturized rubber. If I order a skin, I'll only use the front.

I have a couple of Kindle 2 cases that work okay but are a little big for the Kobo. Tomorrow I'll try and post pictures.

That's hilarious! Thanks! But at $23 + $30 shipping -- while it's cheaper than buying the Ford Focus as well -- I think I'll hold out for the "real thing" when Kobo ships it in the coming weeks.
