Sorry I didn't explain yesterday. A fellow manager in my department (and a friend) got let go yesterday. He knew it was coming, but it was still rough. Then they basically shuffled the department around. I got relocated to another position which I didn't think I would be happy with. I discussed it with my boss this morning though and now I am optimistic. I guess I'll know soon enough.

On a lighter note, I made enchiladas for dinner tonight, but neglected to remove the seeds from the chiptoles and man they were SPICY! Tasty though (the leftovers are going to my stepdad who gleefully scarfs down food that makes my mouth bleed). But then I had to make garlic bread to freeze. I cut my hand NOT ONCE but TWICE while cutting the bread. I guess that's what happens when your knives are too sharp!

Yep that's why I keep my kitchen knives nice and dull....but the pocket knife is razor sharp......ya never know...

Hope you got the bread out of the way fast enough. Nothing worse than soggy bread.

I'm a shocker with knives - somehow they always find their way into my hand - or even worse - foot. Once I stuck a bread knife in my and - went nearly through it too. And it hurts far worse pulling it out

Well guys, I have to differ with both of you. As a cabinet maker and carver, I'm a good shapener. Accidents happen when you have to push too hard. It happens mostly when your blades are not sharp enough. A good sharp blade will ease through a cut with light pressure giving more control on direction and rate of cut. But if you miss...

All woodworkers agree that a sharp blade is safer... in deft hands.
