I'm writing a short story called Kunt, it's about a man with a really unfortunate and terribly embarrassing second name - Bush.

I am attempting to locate a series of poems I wrote some years ago and turn them into a compilation. Dream 11 I posted is one of them. The series is 20 or 21 dreams and 5 nightmares. Some I was uncertain of and I named one of them Dream 7/Nightmare 2.

Once I find them, I'll go over them as some of my early work has typos in them... put them together, then post them in epub books.

Good for you! Were you inspired by Poetry Month? I seem to have drifted back to a poetry phase and am working on finishing a few and focusing some time on writing poetry.

Okay here is the opening page of my work in progress. I've been on a break from it, but I will be finishing it in May. I shall prime my enthusiasm by letting the world see! (It's a mystery suspense - humor and cozy flavor.)

****
Doctor Cannon dashed in, late, through the waiting room entrance. The room was empty.

"Is Gwen here yet?" she asked the receptionist.

"Not yet."

Gwen Littleton was always exactly on time, inspite of an apparent reluctance to come at all. Dr. Cannon furrowed her brow and went into her private office.

She almost didn't see the man in the perfectly pressed trenchcoat sitting quietly in the chair in the corner, where he would see her before she saw him. Neat, quiet, exuding control like a goddamn spy.

"You're George," she said, not a question.

"George Starling. Yes." Slight accent, vaguely British to go with the trenchcoat and cool, lurking presence.

She glanced back at the receptionist and shut the door.

"Gwen sent you, didn't she?"

"Yes."

"Dammit!"

She threw her papers on the desk and went around to sit behind it. He sat forward, resting his elbows on his knees, and watched her.

"I can't talk to you about her," she told him.

"I'm aware of that."

"Then why are you here?"

"I believe Gwen was under the impression that I could talk to you instead."

"You can't take her therapy for her."

"It was that or cancel."

(The whole first chapter is at [Promotional links removed - MODERATOR)

Hee-Hee.....I haven't really paid that much attention this year myself. I did notice that there is a new Tony Hoagland collection out that I'm about to go pick up.

Looking forward to seeing your work.

I'm revising the sequel to Xenolith (18 chapters done, but Chapter 19 is the most dreadful gibberish),

I am also currently "un-writing" a novel called Lethe. In January, I started with 185,000 words. Now, I'm down to 117,000 and falling, with large sections of de novo material added. Its like sculpting clay. Hack a chunk off here, add a glob there. This one's going easier than the sequel so I use this as a respite from revising Peregrin.

I might use this strategy in the future: writing two novels at once to help clear my mental palate. I have my next two lined up.

My problem, of course, is going through all those CD backups, looking for Dream 20 and Nightmare 4.

I'm not sure they exist as I do remember writing Dream 21, and being told I had skipped Dream 20. I intended to write Dream 20, but I cannot find it. This was ten years ago.

I wrote Nightmare 5, not remembering if I wrote Nightmare 4 or not. So, that one may not have been written either.

I do have a series of 3 poems. The first one was written after hearing the song 'Black Velvelt' by Alannah Myles. The other 2 take the scenario further along. Science Fiction that is. I know where all 3 of those are on my hard drive.
