But at least with charcoal you can make a point. Fingers are a relatively broad "tool".
FWIW though I usually sketch with a pencil. Last edited by Dylrob; 04-29-2010 at 08:54 AM. |

ISPs toss packets, and all the routing servers look at is packet headers to see where it's coming from and where it's going. Blocking things like viruses and malware would require inspecting the content of the packets, which opens a can of worms no one in their right mind wants to contemplate. (And would have an enormous performance impact i9f it was done.) Personally, I don't want my ISP to take extreme measures. Setting the wards on my machine and keeping out things like viruses and malware is my problem, and I'll select my own methods to do so. Good luck with Norton. I wouldn't use it, but many people do successfully. Maybe you'll be lucky. ______ Dennis |

*Sigh* - why do I feel cheated all of a sudden? Spoke today with the guy I got the job from. Now its 12 hours - meh, the agency signed me up for 20 so that's what we will bill. (Discussed with agency).
Tricky employer - wants me now for 12 hours, but will send me document prior to me starting, so I can have a look at. HaHaHa. ![]() And still in no position to refuse as this is my first job through this particular agency. And the start is not next week, but the week after. Off to stuff my face with some cookies and chocolates now. Need some comfort food. |

I just had my lunch. The first at home since I started the PilotDiet.
Friday is special: the baby is at the Nursery and we do not go to work. La dolce vita!! Usually I go to the supermarket and then we orgy on home made hamburgers with all the trimmings, a big bag of chips and a big glass of beer (usually Leffe). Not today. the diet is on. We had an apero under M.me Wisteria with a small Campari, dried but soft tomatoes (80cal), quarters of artichockes (from a can, in salted water, nice for occasions like this), and 6 pistacchios for me and sweet olives and plenty of pistachios for her. To day papers and cigarettes (we do not smoke inside). Then the lunch, that, at that moment was just waiting to be dished out (I do not know how to say it in English, enplaté in French, impiattato in Italian), was already prepared. Steamed fresh salmon (two nice thick slices, we call them darne) and a full bag of steamed bitter greens (frozen), for her also a plateful of huge fresh shrimps (steamed). Steaming for me is so easy as I got one of those hightec MW, from Whirlpool actually. They do everything by themselves. Everything gently humidified by a delicious Cote de St.Tropez of which I still have a congruous reserve. While I am writing this, she, grateful for my cooking, just made coffee, with the help of Nespresso. She just told me that she started the sauna ... |

MMmmmmmm!!! That looks great, Am. Is 7:00 am too early for chocolate cake? If it is, I could wait until after my coffee.

Oh, great! Don't I feel like an ass! I post a pic of chocolate cake just as Beppe is telling us about his PilotDiet meals.
Look, Beppe, be assured that several of us are struggling with our weight. Of course, not me - ahem! Erm, anyway, the cake is all in fun. Yesterday, I had a plate of veggies for lunch and also for dinner. I'm about to have some granola for breakfast. Cake (and bacon and doughnuts) are simply figments of our collective imaginations. So ignore the visions and chatter about these things because they are not real. And I wish you and BOb and others (not me, of course - ahem!) the best of luck on their regimens. |
