pshrynk, i'm so sorry. my thoughts are with you and your family. i hope that the rest of this year will be happier for you, it seems like you've had far more than your share of grief lately.

I'd like to say that it can't get worse, but I said that after my brother died. I can't think of any relatives who are ill or elderly, so maybe we get a break for a while.

While we are here, I have a prayer request. I have a tumor in my left breast, and the 12 core biopsies (TWELVE!) are tomorrow. They hope that by doing all of those cores that it will pretty much get the painful tumor, and if it turns out benign, then nothing more will be needed.

I'm sort of panicking, because my mom and grandmom had breast cancer, and it killed my mom.

Talk about having to deal with a lot of adversity lately ... you sure qualify for that also, sweetie. You've been going through quite a bit yourself, with your eyes and now this.

It wasn't actually the cancer that killed mom, but instead, the tamoxifan had her immune system weakened. She was completlely happy and well, riding around on the lawnmower and burned a blister on her toe. Massive infection, kidney failure, etc followed quickly.

I'm pulling for you, DG. Hope it's benign, but even if it isn't, take heart. Treatments and success rates are improving with each passing day.
