finally watched it! but I had forgotten last year's season finale was 3 hours! I do miss David Tenant, but suppose this guy will grow on me. I REALLY like the girl!

The "weeping angels" were wonderful - I think they have to be one of the "scariest monsters" ever on DW. The person who commented earlier in the thread that the new series wasn't as "dark and scary" as earlier series is going to change their mind when they see this, I think!

yep the 'weeping angels' are back ! (didn't notice it was a 2-parter, which was a shock when the program suddenly ended ..... !)

Yeah, they are great. I wish that they would have more new bad guys. With all due respect to your avatar, I've grown to hate hate hate the daleks-- they are waaaaaay too overused and I'd be happy to never see them again.

I agree - the Daleks have been way over-used. I was pleased to hear Steven Moffat, the new executive producer of DW, say that he intended to make much less use of the "old favourites" and bring in a lot of new adversaries. However, I think that "weeping angels" thoroughly deserved a second "outing", more so, given the fact that SM invented them.

No - I can't say that I was all that keen on them at first sight, to tell you the truth. Perhaps their appeal will grow over time
