Just got up, laundry in the machine, cats fed, looking at yard. If my sinuses ever stop draining I might be able to get out & mow. Waiting for rain to wash off all that #*#)@*#(@) pollen.

First load of laundry done, second one in. Small grocery store run completed....I'm off to read a bit. It's a grey, cloudy, rainy, cool day here today....lawn needs mowing, but too wet...

With only 3 meals left before the starting of the pilotbob diet (kick off Monday), I cooked my last before last lunch: asparagus a la Bismark. Delicious. For my little one (3) they were her first asparagus ever. She picked up the tricks right away and enjoyed her asparagus very much. A big success. I had cooled a bottle of Gewurtz Traminer that went down like magic silk. Only 3 meals left. Yesterday I bought salads, tomatoes, frozen greens, frozen vegetable soups, cans of beans, cans of tropical fruit salad, Chile grapes, melons, kiwis, strawberries and bananas, walnuts and pistachios. Orange juice and grape juice. What else. 6 packages of lox. The girl at the counter looked at me, surprised. Usually, she approves of my weekly shopping. I am starting a diet. She stared at me, up and down. You do not need to diet, at your age you look just fine. I could have kissed her right there. A cute blondinette.
To night pasta with shrimps and zucchine. To morrow my father in law comes to see his granddaughter and for lunch I will fill celery stems with Gorgonzola and cook buckwheat ravioli, and for supper ham and melon. And after that, the unknown, the jump in the void, 6 weeks of pilotbob diet. I want to swim in those shoes. |

You've got to be careful with those diets. I have to admit, I enjoy that P.O.W. look ( on other people ), but people are getting carried away. Literally.
That's why I put a warning from an anti-dieting book on my refrigerator: "You die thin..." Thinner by Richard Bachman |

Really? Look at anyone over 70 and tell me if they are fat or thin. Thin people with slow metabolisms live the longest. BOb |

First thing in the morning I will edit my post and remove every reference to the most excellent pilotBob and substitute the expression an aviation penguin friend of mine. So that all responsibility of you anguish is just mine. Second, it is a clear, strict veg diet based upon fruits, salada, greens and beany stuff, mostly, to one's fill. Therefore I refer to my last 3 meals as my last meals, 1 lunch + 2 dinners. And then it will be just nutrimentational episodes. Do not worry, I will continue to filter, at each of those nutrimentational episodes, congruous though moderate quantities of high quality slightly intoxicating fluids. Details on request. |

Look, do explain but not again with that absolute masterpiece of: "The perambulator broke so the baby had to ride in the boot and the lorrie load was delayed " That was the peak, of what? We know. And you got my regular karmas for a good while. |

HE is clearly letting the dog know that it is not a fasting/starvation plan but a eat real, whole healthy food plan.
However, I have used fasting to good effect and do get over a hump.. I always make sure to take in 200-300 calories, usually in apple juice of the like so as not to lose muscle which the body will take... it needs some protein to metabolism body fat into fuel. BOb |
