			I meant that IF the US had a high-speed rail network THEN it would be true; I'm well aware that, with the exception of a few urban areas, such as the cities of the NE, passenger rail travel has been rather neglected in the US. With 200mph trains, though, even continent-crossing journeys become doable in a day.

			They probably also had a lot of extra flights to England and Ireland... When we were waiting in Malaga, there were a lot of English and Irish people wanting to go home. There were major queues at the desks of Ryanair and EasyJet and a lot of flights towards the British Isles... It was busy! When we wanted to take off (we were already delayed before the plane from Bremen touched down...), we had to do so fast, so the pilot already started picking up speed when he turned to corner to enter the runway (there was another flight incoming...) |
