I am trying to remember the guys name, but he did say he had evidence there was one. It was very recent though, and stinking google is only giving me 2012 stuff. I will have to find it, because I never thought it was true either. But his evidence was pretty good and all scientific (as he didn't believe it himself). Let me do more digging. Ok Adam Maloof, and it was in 2006. he believes it happened 800 million years ago. he was mostly debunking this 2012 theory when doing the research. http://channel.nationalgeographic.co...n-pole-shift-1 Quote:

What he calls a "pole shift" and what I call a "pole shift" are two different things. What I call a "pole shift" is a shift in the poles. Meaning a flipping over of the axis of rotation of the planet. Continental drift (even relatively quick continental drift) doesn't shift the poles, it just shifts surface features (a very thin skin compared to the thickness of the Earth) relative to the poles.

I thought Castaneda's first book was kind of interesting - as a bit of ethnomethodology and as a study of how reality is negotiated - although most of it might have been made up or "borrowed" from somewhere else. The rest though, I agree, were pretty much twaddle.

If one starts to search for ``How were the...'' one of the first things to be suggested is, ``How were the Pyramids built''. The ``I feel lucky'' hit for that is:
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0328104302.htm Where it says, ``But the process of building pyramids, while complicated, was not as colossal an undertaking as many of us believe, Redford says. Estimates suggest that between 20,000 and 30,000 laborers were needed to build the Great Pyramid at Giza in less than 23 years. By comparison, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris took almost 200 years to complete.'' ... ``When answering to skepticism about how such heavy stones could have been moved without machinery, Redford says, "I usually show the skeptic a picture of 20 of my workers at an archaeological dig site pulling up a two-and-a-half ton granite block." He added, "I know it's possible because I was on the ropes too."'' How does one get ``No one knows how the Pyramids were built.'' out of that? William |

Like I said there are theories, what I meant no one knows for sure how they did it. There is the method of transfering the stones, and other methods. Are we to assume all the materials were just sitting there? Also I am not saying Aliens helped them it is still an amazing feat they did. http://www.cheops-pyramide.ch/khufu-...t-pyramid.html Last edited by rock; 04-20-2010 at 01:54 PM. |

No, archeology has found the quarries where the limestone and other materials were dug --- that's why one needs the larger number of people, to excavate, shape and move the materials. The link I posted specifically noted that people could move the blocks, so it's just extra effort to transport them from one site to another, so how can you attempt to insinuate that transport was an insurmountable obstacle?

I just want to see how they did it, and how they did it in just 22-23 years. That is seriously amazing. I am not saying it was impossible, because obviously they are built, I just wish we could witness it you know. I just want to see it. |
